Check if you qualify

Debt Management Plan (DMP)

An informal flexible agreement between you and your creditors to repay all your debts. Regular payments to a licensed debt management company.

Best for unsecured debts you can still afford to pay over time.

Individual Voluntary Arrangement (IVA)

A formal, legally binding agreement with your creditors to repay an affordable amount over a fixed term, with any remaining qualifying debt written off at the end.

Best if you have larger unsecured debts and a regular income to commit.

Debt Relief Order (DRO)

A formal solution for people with low income, few assets and qualifying debts. After a 12-month moratorium period your qualifying debts are written off.

Best if you have minimal income and assets and can't realistically pay your debts.

Breathing Space Scheme

Get 60 days of protection from creditors while you get debt advice and consider your options.

Best if you need time to plan without creditor pressure.

Verified reviews from people we've helped, straight from Trustpilot. Real words, real relief.

"I came to Refresh after a very turbulent time in my life. They were understanding, didn't judge, and helped me see a light in my very dark place. Keith was professional but so friendly and made the process easy in a time that has been so overwhelmingly stressful. I honestly can't thank Refresh enough. Highly recommend!"
Kimberleigh R.
"Shane is phenomenal at what he does, a true credit to the organisation and general society. I suffer with severe anxiety, so you can imagine what my debt was doing to me internally. I finally got the courage for help and although I'm very sceptical, Shane was very reassuring and advised me clearly. Honestly, we need more Shanes in this world."
Emily J.
"Shane and Roisin have been extremely helpful and considerate when I told them about my financial situation. I've been struggling a lot recently but they have given me a bit of hope that I can get out of my rut and gradually become debt free again. Thank you."

Answers before you ask

The questions we hear most often. If yours isn't here, just ask us on the phone. No commitment required.

How much does your advice cost?
There is no charge for your initial debt advice. If you go on to enter a debt solution with us, a fee will apply — this will always be explained in full and agreed with you before anything is set up.
Will this affect my credit rating?
Entering into a debt solution can affect your credit rating for at least 72 months. We'll explain exactly what each option means for your credit before you decide.
How long does the initial call take?
Most first conversations take 15–20 minutes. We'll gather the facts, listen to your situation, and explain what your options look like.
Are you regulated?
Yes. Refresh Debt Advice is a trading style of Refresh Debt Services Limited, authorised and regulated by the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA No. 674160). Client funds held in connection with a Debt Management Plan are protected by the Financial Services Compensation Scheme in the event of firm failure.
What if I can only pay a small amount?
That's fine. A DMP or other solution can be based on what you can genuinely afford after essential living costs. We'll never push you into something that isn't right.
Do you help people across the UK?
Yes. We serve clients across England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland. Wherever you are, our advisers will take the time to understand your situation and walk you through your options.
